Good ol' Monday

Time for yet another week of work and play. My schedule is already packed with Capoeira, ultimate, birthdays, corn mazes and, of course, the job.

Since it's Monday I feel that some humerous Monty Python clips are in order. Here's one making fun of religion/politics, and another to cheer you up.

Also, I highly recommend everyone catch the final Moto GP race this weekend. The championship's down to the wire with Rossi 8 points ahead of Nicky Hayden. Hayden was ahead overall but fell behind due to the controversial accident in Estoril. He's not going to give up but there's always next season anyway.

More Team Holland pics up

Two weekends ago our dutch friends Indra and Corine came by to visit Kirkland for the second time. Cam, Amanda and I planned some shenanigans with tours of clubs in Capitol Hill and an impromtu get-together at the manor. In the end we all had a hell of a weekend and they will be missed. Cam's been nice enough to host the photos at his site here.

What else is happening... hmm... oh yeah. Tom wants to make a snowboard film. I say SURE why not? I had fun making my own little film back in the day. Here it is for those who haven't seen it yet. Will our film have the skills of the pros? No... we don't have the budget for heli trips to Alaska or the experience from 10 years of riding everyday. But it will be fun and I'll contribute some backflips, 540s and who knows what other humorous clips. I'm online buying a seasons pass to Snoqualmie as we speak and Capoeira is great cross training for balance, agility and leg/core strength. For those about to rock, WE SALUTE YOU.

Salsa One Complete!

Last night Amanda and I finished the Salsa One course at the Century Ballroom. We had so much fun we're already signed up for Salsa Two which starts in two weeks. Thanks to George for hooking us up with free lessons as our engagement present! Last night we went to a club-night at the Ballroom and tried out our new skills. Amanda was super tired from 5am-5pm classes everyday that we didn't stay too long but soon we'll be ripping up the floor! It's really cool to watch the pros. If you've never watched salsa live I'd suggest it and the music has good energy too.

Checkout this hilarious article about Canadian soldiers having trouble with Marijuana plantations in Afganistan.

Also, on September 21st Amanda and I celebrated being engaged for 6 months! We're starting to think about a date but with so much craziness in our lives it's tough to nail down a firm time/place. Soon though!

Dan's new site

Just when I thought I would have nothing to procrastinate and do today I noticed that Dan's site is back up! It looks pretty cool. He even got around to posting some pictures of Amanda and my engagement party and a hike we did earlier this year. Check it out!
